Jr. Reign 14AA(1) Qualifies for State Championships at Great Park Ice

The Jr. Reign 14AA(1) team has officially qualified for the 2026 California Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) Tier II State Playoffs, a major achievement that places them among the top teams in the state. With only six teams qualifying for the tournament, reaching the State Championships is a significant accomplishment and a reflection of the dedication, hard work, and commitment shown by the players and coaching staff throughout the season.

In its announcement to participating teams, CAHA congratulated those who earned a spot in the tournament, noting that "qualifying for states is a testament to the effort put in by players and staff all season long and highlighting what has been an outstanding year of hockey across California."

The Jr. Reign will compete this weekend at Great Park Ice, facing some of the strongest teams in the state during round-robin play. Their schedule begins early Friday morning with a 7:45 a.m. matchup against OCHC, followed by a 2:45 p.m. game Friday against the CA Bears. The team will wrap up preliminary play on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. against the Bulls.

After the round-robin games conclude, the tournament will move into theĀ semifinals Saturday night, with matchups and game times to be determined based on standings.

Qualifying for the State Championships is one of the most difficult milestones in youth hockey, and earning a place among the six teams competing for the title is a proud moment for the Jr. Reign organization. As the puck drops this weekend, the team will look to build on a strong season and compete for a California state championship.

Congratulations to the Jr. Reign 14AA(1) players and coaches on this outstanding accomplishment, and best of luck this weekend at states.
