     LA Lions and Jr.Reign bring Girls Hockey

to the Inland Empire


{Los Angeles, California, April 5th, 2018}  -  In an effort to allow for more girls hockey options for young athletes in Southern California the Los Angeles Kings are expanding the popular LA Lions hockey program into the Inland Empire. 

The Inland Empire Lions home rink will be LA Kings Icetown Riverside and work In conjunction with the Junior Reign Hockey Club. The Junior Reign Club is the official youth hockey club of the Ontario Reign, the LA Kings primary affiliate, offering teams ranging from 6 & Under to 18 & Under at the B, BB, A, AA & AAA levels.

“I am thrilled to be a part of expanding the LA Lions girls hockey program to the Inland Empire,” said Ben Frank, President of the Junior Reign.  “The LA Kings have proven they are committed to growing youth and community hockey opportunities for all and the LA Lions program brings a unique and special opportunity to young girls with the dream and love for the game of hockey.”

 

Said Victoria Pizzuto, Coordinator of the LA Lions: “With the growth of girls hockey in the greater Los Angeles county, the LA Lions are excited to have a sister program join their mission of developing girl’s hockey. It’s exhilarating to see girls springing up from everywhere wanting to join the world of youth girls hockey. Ben has been a huge supporter of our program from day one, and we can’t wait to begin this new venture together.”


Interest clinics will be held May 10th, May 17th, May 24th and May 31st.

Tryouts for the Inland Empire Lions will be in Riverside June 8-10th, 2018.
